Booklet Launched about Winchburgh Railway Disaster:
October 15th 1862 - The first head-on railway collision in Scotland happened on the line near Winchburgh. To mark the 140th Anniversary of the accident, West Lothian Local History Library has put together a booklet which brings together eyewitness accounts and newspaper coverage. Details in the Heritage Magazine (pdf)
